ONLINE PROOFING SOFTWARE — VIDEO, AUDIO, IMAGES, PDF

Online proofing software for every format you deliver.

Online proofing software is where you send work to a client for review and get a recorded answer back — comments pinned to the exact moment or spot, versions kept side by side, and an approval attributed to a named person.

VoiceDeck does that for video, audio, images, and PDF through one share link. Your client opens it in a browser, with no account and nothing to install.

Four formats. One link. Unlimited reviewers.
01 / The category

What online proofing software actually does.

Four jobs, and a tool that skips any one of them pushes the work back into email. Comment in place, so a note lands on the frame or the paragraph it is about. Compare versions, so "you already fixed that" is checkable. Approve explicitly, so sign-off is an action and not a silence. Keep the record, so months later you can still say who approved which cut.

The part most tools treat as optional is the last one. An approval that isn't attributed to a person and a version is just a message in a thread.

COMMENT Pinned to a timecode, a region, or a PDF page — never "around 40 seconds in".
COMPARE Two versions side by side, transport synced for video and audio.
APPROVE Per file, per version, per person. A v1 approval never carries to v2.
RECORD Earlier rounds stay readable after the next version goes up.
02 / One tool, four formats

Most proofing tools only do one format.

The video review tools handle video. The print proofing tools handle artwork and PDF. Neither camp wants the other's files, so a single campaign gets split across two subscriptions and two client habits — and the client, reasonably, sends the third batch of notes by email.

A campaign is rarely one format. It is the hero cut, three social cutdowns, a set of stills, and a PDF deck the client's team has to sign off on. VoiceDeck takes all four as first-class media, each with a real review surface rather than a download stub.

HOW EACH FORMAT IS REVIEWED
VIDEO Streamed playback with comments and drawings pinned to the timecode. AUDIO Full-width waveform with comment markers sitting above the bars at their exact time. IMAGES Zoom and pan to print resolution, numbered pins and drawn shapes anchored to the artwork. PDF Page-by-page, with every mark scoped to the page it was made on.

Same comment thread, same version history, same approval record across all four.

03 / The flow

How the proofing flow works.

Upload the files, share the project or just the folder you want seen, and send one link. The client opens it in the browser and reviews immediately — no signup, no password, nothing to install. They are asked for a name only at the moment they first write something, and email is optional.

When the next cut is ready, upload it as a new version. Earlier rounds stay on the record, and approvals do not travel forward: each person approves each version on its own. You can add a passphrase, set an expiry, turn downloads off for a review-only share, or revoke the link outright.

SHARE One link per client — whole project, one folder, or a chosen set of files.
REVIEW In the browser, no account. Notes pinned to the time, the region, or the page.
APPROVE One click, recorded against that person and that version.
DELIVER Hand over the approved originals from the same link they reviewed on.
04 / What it costs

Priced on storage, not on people.

Proofing tools that charge per seat make you ration reviewers, which is exactly backwards — the client's legal reviewer and the brand lead are the two people whose approval you most need on the record. Here, team members and client reviewers are unlimited on every tier, including the free one. Storage is the only meter.

Going over a storage cap pauses new uploads; it does not suspend the account or break a share link a client is mid-review on. Your originals stay downloadable at any time.

05 / Fit

Who this is for, and who it isn't.

It fits studios and agencies who ship mixed deliverables to outside clients and need the sign-off written down. It is a poor fit for a few real cases, and we would rather you find that out here than three weeks in.

GOOD FIT Client-facing review across mixed formats, with named approvals per version.
GOOD FIT Teams that keep adding reviewers and don't want a per-seat conversation each time.
NOT FOR Print production proofing that needs colour accuracy, preflight, or imposition checks.
NOT FOR Copy proofing inside live documents — this reviews the exported file, not the doc.
NOT FOR Editorial workflows that need the review tool wired into the NLE timeline itself.
